Summary

When you decrease the quality of a jpeg file being exported, the compression algorithm leads to blockiness and squares called 'artefacts' (or 'artifacts', depending on where you're from). This increasing with greater compression (lower quality). Be aware of this! If needed, you can mitigate against this effect with a simple blur. A creative note: if you want your image broken up into colour areas, you can use low-quality export as a way of doing this!
