Summary

If configured to do so, Affinity Photo will automatically correct lens distortion, which can lead to areas at the edge of the photo being cropped out. Here's first of all how to control this problem, and also how to save areas you might otherwise have lost. (Thanks for Joaquim_L on the Affinity Forum for pointing me in the right direction here).

Extra note: Rather than use the Crop tool in the Develop Persona, using the Scale slider under Lens Correction is an easy way to do this (Thanks to Jos for the tip).
