Summary

Here's the fastest, most flexible vignette I've done yet.

Extra tips:

Change the colour of the background to anything you like.
Do be sure to place the shape in the 'clipping position' where you get a blue horizontal (not vertical) bar. Offer the shape to the text 'Pixel' to get this.
Resize and move the shape at any time using the Move tool.
Click on the Move tool, then the shape and Convert to Curves on top context toolbar. Then use Node tool (under Pen tool on left toolbar) to reshape the shape (double-click for new nodes).
Try different blend modes for the top pixel layer.
