SummarySometimes you are presented with an over-sharpened picture that you have to edit. Here is a way you can remove some of the more extreme sharpening effects by using a high-pass filter and then do a kind of reversed, inverse sharpening ('de-sharpening') with it. Group these two layers and experiment with the contrast blend mode for the group, typically this will be Vivid Light or Hard Light.
