Summary

A common way to increase brightness and contrast is to bring White and Black Levels down to the Histogram edges. Here, we extend this into doing it with Red, Green and Blue. We also show how greater control can be gained by doing the same and more with the Curves adjustment.

Note: You can try the same with CMYK and LAB, but you may well find that this is less successful in most images.
