Tiger Secret Teachings 4.12 (42)

Observed lessons

  • Keep observations on enemy fortifications to know how many people are there and what is going on.
  • Watch wildlife. Birds, especially will take off en masse if they are startled. This can be seen from some distance away.

Discussion

In business, it is often a good idea to keep eyes on competitors to see what you can learn about what they are doing. Just sitting outside their gates and watching the comings and goings can tell you how active they are. For example you might notice whether employees arrive early and stay late, or whether they dribble in and leave all around the same time.
