- Power words: Words that have special meaning.
- Pronoun language: I, you and so on add power.
- Sensory language: Language that evokes senses.

- Temporal language: Changing time and hence meaning.
- Trivializing words: Deflating what others say.
- Using pauses: Adding power with very largely nothing.
