DescriptionFind ways of reminding yourself of why you can and should be happy. Here's a few examples:
DiscussionIn striving to survive, we often forget all the many reasons we have to be grateful. We have friends and family who like us. There are also many people in the world who are worse off than us. In the slough of today's unhappiness, we forget that we have been happy in the past and that we have more control over our lives than we perhaps think we have. One thing we all have is free will and the power to choose. Some people like to leave the best until last, which can be a good strategy as it lets you enjoy the anticipated pleasure of the future. However, if you keep doing this, all you will have is anticipation. Don't procrastinate good things for too long. See also |
