DescriptionOeonismos is the expression of emotion through wishing or hoping. ExampleWouldn't it be lovely if we could all be together at Christmas. I hope he leaves soon, otherwise I might just land one on him! I wish he would leave me alone! DiscussionHope is a form of desire, and wishing is often the expression of hope by other means. It is often positive in form although it can also have negative aspects.
