Prepositions are words that appear in front of nouns or their substitutes (such as pronouns or noun phrases). There are about 150 prepositions that include: about, above, across, as, at, before, beneath, by, except, for, from, in, inside, like, near, of, on, over, since, than, towards, under, up, with.
