Summary

'Colour Theory' can sound unrealistic and, well, theoretical. Yet understanding it can help hugely in taking and editing images, including working out how to adjust the RGB in the picture to improve how it is perceived.

In this second video we look closely at the colour wheel, breaking it down into primary, secondary and tertiary colours (or, more accurately, hues). We then look at a sample of bright pixel areas and are able to guess fairly accurately the RGB percentage values of each colour.

Next time, we will take this a step further, looking at the detail of how RGB values can be understood with regard to whiteness/lightness, blackness/darkness, saturation/brightness and hue/colour.
