Summary

'Colour Theory' can sound unrealistic and, well, theoretical. Yet understanding it can help hugely in taking and editing images, including working out how to adjust the RGB in the picture to improve how it is perceived.

In this third video we look closely at the arrangement of Red, Green and Blue channels in each pixel and how their relationship helps us understand whiteness/lightness, blackness/darkness, saturation/brightness and hue/colour. We also get to a finer understanding of how you can connect RGB values to primary, secondary and tertiary colours.

Next time, we will take this a step further, looking at examples of dark, light and dull colours and using HSL as an extra lens to look at RGB values.
